Our acting instructors have developed careers in film, television, and theatre. We offer an outstanding career training program with high-quality instruction in each department: acting, voice, and movement. Under our faculty’s training, our students have gone on to successful acting careers — some working with A-list actors.

Ian Ferguson
Ian Ferguson is an award-winning and bestselling author with an extensive career as a director and writer in theatre, film and television. He has taught acting and improvisation at York University, Second City, The Improv Studio, Canadian College of Performing Arts, and the Victoria Academy of Performing Arts, among other colleges and post-secondary institutions. He has developed a unique curriculum to teach on-camera acting techniques that has become the foundation of training for Working Reel Actors Lab in Cambridge.
Dr. Kara Flanagan (PhD)
Kara Flanagan is one of the founders of the Victoria Academy of Dramatic Arts. As an Administrator, she works on new program and business development for the school.
Roderick Glanville
Roderick has a wide range of professional performance credits as an actor on film, TV, commercial, documentary, radio and stage. His training started with The National Film Board in Toronto as principal actor in the short Nothing Personal.
Trevor Hinton
Trevor brings an accessible, practical approach to fight choreography for film, television and the stage thanks to over twenty years as a combat martial artist as well as more than a decade of work as a professional actor.
Wesley Salter
Wesley has worked extensively in Film & TV as an Actor, Producer, Host, Associate Casting Director [Clark & Page Casting], International Film Publicist & Press Manager. His most recent & notable Film & TV acting credits include: Recurring roles on Chesapeake Shores, When Calls The Heart, Bletchley Circle, & Shadow of The Rougarou.
Wesley is an avid supporter of independent film and is always seeking out offbeat & unique projects. Inspired by his 9 years working at the Sundance Film Festival he teamed up with award winning Director Kevan Funk, both acting & producing in many of their amazing short films.
With his years of experience on both sides of the negotiation table, he’s uniquely positioned to support actors in making the right choices – both in auditions and careers.
