Course Description

Getting “in the room” for auditions is no longer the issue as much as how to effectively self-tape your work. This has added a new level of commitment and knowledge that actors must have. How do you stand out and make a good impression? This course will take you through the auditioning process, including:

  • How to quickly analyze an audition script (sides)
  • How to find the arc of the character, even if you only have a few lines
  • Six steps to bring your scene alive
  • Tips for dealing with audition nerves
  • Callbacks & follow-ups
  • Effective use of props & wardrobe

This is a great course for those who want to learn the basics of auditioning or for those who would like to brush up with a weekly auditioning workout. We will also learn how to self-tape, what equipment you need, and what the expectations of a casting director are. We’ll also discuss and learn about callbacks. This course will provide you with all the tools you need to audition like a pro. **Please note that part-time studies do not constitute career training**
