Course Description

Getting “in the room” for auditions is no longer the issue as much as how to effectively self-tape your work. This has added a new level of commitment and knowledge that actors must have. How do you stand out and make a good impression? This course will take you through the auditioning process including:

  • How to quickly analyze an audition script (sides)
  • How to find the arc of the character, even if you only have a few short lines
  • Six steps to bring your scene alive
  • Tips for dealing with audition nerves
  • Eye lines
  • Callbacks & follow-ups
  • Effective use of props & wardrobe
  • Self-tapes

This is a great course for those who want to learn the basics of auditioning or for those who would like to brush up with a weekly auditioning workout. We will also learn how to self-tape, what equipment you need, and what the expectations are of casting. We’ll also discuss and learn about callbacks. This course will provide you with all the tools you need to audition like a pro. **Please note part-time studies do not constitute career training**
